SKYE’S THE LIMIT - ultimate all rounder / performance prospect
SKYE’S THE LIMIT (Skye) is a 13.2hh, 7yo Appaloosa mare with endless potential.
She is extremely quite, unfazed by loud machinery, busy roads, underpasses, water, new places, hacks in groups or alone etc. She is very easy to catch, well behaved for the farrier, travels well and is a very easy horse to have around. In this way, she would suit someone wanting a nice-tempered low maintenance horse to have fun on. In saying this, she is still green, can be forward moving and a bit cheeky so requires a confident rider and is not suitable as a first pony.
On the other hand, with consistent education, work and exposure, Skye will make quite the performance horse. She is extremely brave, and will jump anything you put in front of her with out hesitation. She has jumped up to 80cm (showjumping and cross country) with scope to burn and has a very good natural technique. Although she has only jumped a handful of times, it is definitely her strong suit and I believe she will excel as a show jumper or eventer. She is still quite green on the flat and her paces need improving, but she is always willing to learn and this will progress with further education.
In the short time I have had Skye, she has improved so much but unfortunately other commitments preclude me from continuing her education.
