Gorgeous competitive waler x stockhorse mareHorses - 735 Federal Hwyn Capital Territory 2914 -
An extremely regretful sale of a gorgeous, competitive mare due to a change in personal circumstances. I am devastated to sell her, but she is too good to sit in the paddock, which is what will happen if she stays with me.
Heidi is currently in full work and competing, having recently taken out 3 wins and a second place leading to her winning overall high point champion in her ring at the ACT Showjumping Canberra Classic (currently competing up to 80cm and training 1m plus at home). She also recently competed at Berrima horse trials (was coming 3rd after showjumping, we were eliminated during XC due to MY error, no fault of hers) and is entered in novice dressage in 2 weeks time (training some elementary moves at home and is even getting there with Spanish walk!). Will be entered in NCHT Hunter Trials in December if I still have her.
Heidi has had countless outings, coming along to all sorts of things since she was a 2 year old. She has participated in multiple showjumping and cross country clinics, dressage lessons and dressage days, several other entry- level competitions (ALWAYS winning or placing), Jump club, numerous ARC days (participating in all sorts of activities such as obstacle courses) and countless trail rides. Can open and close gates on her, carry tarps etc, and she is used to dogs, motorbikes, quads etc.
Heidi is sensible and calm at outings and in new environments. She is a pleasure to handle on the ground and is excellent with other horses, to catch, shoe, float etc. Heidi has always been barefoot with no issues. (She was recently shod on her fronts, only due to a slight over- trimming and we were days out from a competition). She does have a scar on her nearside hoof but it does not impact her in any way.
Heidi is an extremely trainable, smart and willing horse, however she would suit an intermediate/ experienced home ONLY. She has absolutely no nasties, however she does need to be ridden consistently and ridden well to get the best out of her. She relies on her rider's skills and guidance when training and competing. However you can relax and let her cruise along on a trail. She would make an amazing teenager's/ interschool mount with the appropriate ongoing training and support. She would be the ultimate companion to move up through the grades with.
Price negotiable to include near new Bates Isabel dressage saddle, 2 bridles- one not even a month old (will be keeping her current bit- sorry, it fits my other horse), and some rugs (including a fantastic mesh only purchased last week!)
While the price may be negotiable, her home is not. She will go to an experienced home ONLY, and would even prefer to see her in a competitive home. Short video can be sent to SERIOUS buyers only. Please do not waste my time, she is not a "point and shoot" jumper, or suitable for beginners, she needs someone who can work with her to take her where she can get to.
*may consider swap + cash for an easygoing horse that doesn't need to be kept in consistent work
